Out back in Australia, I sat watching a herd of rock wallabies emerge onto a dry riverbed. Bathed in an orange glow from the smoke of a far off bushfire, a lone adult carefully tested the water. Once deciding it was safe, it retreated and watched a joey and another adult take their turn to drink. As I watched this, I heard a thump behind me, and turned to see this fellow staring back at me. Careful not to disturb her, I slowly turned to take a photograph.
