I made a calendar!

I am super excited to share this calendar with you, featuring a carefully curated selection of 12 of my best ocean photographs coupled with short descriptions of each.

About me:

I am a wildlife, nature, and landscape photographer with a love of adventure and a keen interest in the details and diversity of the world and how it all works. Backed by a first class Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a current study of a Masters in Marine Biology, I believe strongly in the importance of connecting people with nature, and in the strength of art in achieving this. On this webpage, I present a collection of my work, with a series of galleries dedicated to adventures I have had and places I have fallen in love with. If you like these photographs, then head on over to the store where you can purchase framed prints. These photos are printed on beautiful matte paper with bright, sandy frames made of proper wood. I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I've enjoyed creating them!

    Rotation

Two waves colliding in Kynance Cove, Cornwall, creating a directionless, spiral-shaped splash. This cove is infamous for its intense currents and unpredictable conditions. Visiting it during a storm (carefully, of course) is a sure fire way to set the imagination off.

    The Leap!

A pair of foxes I photographed one morning in Denmark while on a family holiday. I woke up early and watched the field by the house, and as the sun was rising these two juveniles emerged and started jumping all over the place, leaping between haybales and chasing each other in circles. Once the sun was high enough, they disappeared into the bushes.

    Maurice

Locked out of my apartment in Finland having forgotten my keys, I was throwing snowballs at my flatmate's window to get his attention when something whooshed past my head. I followed it to the tree in the courtyard and found this inquisitive fellow staring down at me. Once eventually inside, I returned with friends, tea, and my camera to sit quietly and photograph it. We named it Maurice.

Adventures!

Over the years, I have found myself in various places. I am in love with discovering new things and following crazy ideas to see just where I end up. Planning is not in my repertoire, for better or for worse. Here, I have created galleries showcasing my adventures for you to peruse through and judge my decision-making skills, starting with my most intense trip: a cycle around Iceland.

The Long Road to Reykjavik

With minimal cycling experience, I decided to take my brother's old mountain bike and head round the 1,300km ring road of Iceland. It didn't quite go as planned...

A Year in Finland

As a part of my university degree, I spent a year studying abroad in Helsinki. Here I met some awesome people, some awesome landscapes, and some awesome wildlife.

A Hike Around the Dolomites

After my intensely planned Iceland trip, I thought it might be fun to travel somewhere without reading anything about it beforehand, learning the place once I got there. Turns out, the Dolomites are exceedingly beautiful.

A Field Trip to Costa Rica

On a university field trip to the most biodiverse country on Earth, I was lucky to experience and learn about four extremely unique habitats.

Example Prints

I use the print service Gelato for printing and sending orders, and I am amazed at the quality of the items. The paper has this beautiful matte texture and the frames are sandy and light. Perfect for bringing a soft and sunny feel to a room.
